USEFUL INFORMATION AFTER TREATMENT

A quick recovery is expected after hair transplantation. After FUE hair transplantation, the scalp heals almost without a trace.

If you have any problems during the healing period, you can contact us at any time during the consultation hours either by phone or in person.

Driving a motor vehicle

The anaesthetics used during surgery and the stress of the procedure may limit your ability to drive. Therefore, if possible, please do not drive a car or cycle for 2-3 hours after the injection. Please inform our institute if you experience any post-operative bleeding, severe swelling, high fever, severe pain or any other complaints affecting your general condition after the operation.

HOME CARE

At the end of the hair transplant, after the wound has been cleaned, a dressing is applied to the donor area, which our patients must remove when they arrive home.

Patients will be called back 8 days after the operation for a personal check-up, which can exceptionally be triggered by sending a photo or by an online video link.

As part of their home care, our patients must irrigate the implanted area with a sterile physiological saline solution provided by us and apply the antibiotic they have received and, if necessary, painkillers. The absorbent sheet you receive should be placed on your pillow with the absorbent side facing the head. The function of this is to absorb the wound fluid. When sleeping, it is important to choose the correct sleeping position (e.g.: for hairline correction, the prone position should be avoided, while for head transplantation the supine position should be avoided). After FUE hair transplantation, lying with the head elevated in a semi-sitting position is recommended. The back of the head area may be supine.

Continuous use of the recommended Vichy Dercos Anti-Pelliculaire K shampoo may cause scalp dryness, therefore the use of a natural Johnson and Johnson Baby shampoo or a soothing shampoo (e.g. Vichy Senserine) is recommended for regular hair washing.
